Overview

Life was good for Amanda... She had a job she enjoyed. A loving
husband. It seemed like the perfect time to start a family. But as
month after month of trying brings no happy news, the initial
excitement gives way to concern, culminating in a crushing diagnosis:
Infertile.

Suddenly, Amanda is plunged into the unfamiliar world of invasive
fertility treatments and the accompanying emotional seesaw—
from soaring hope to overwhelming despair. Her husband is
supportive and sympathetic, but can’t fully grasp Amanda’s pain. She
finds herself withdrawing from him, from her favorite activities, from
life itself.

Unwilling to share her burden with even close friends, she suffers
in silence, feeding a vicious spiral of isolation, plummeting
self-esteem, and a growing sense of worthlessness. Yet, refusing to
abandon hope, she finds herself on a journey that will forever change
their lives.

Yearning is a moving story of adversity, hope, and the power of
following your dreams.
