Overview

'A life with a disability is most certainly a life worth living and I wouldn't change who I am for all the Louboutin's in the world. I write this for anyone who is seen to be 'different'. We all have much more in common than we think, no matter who we are.' Growing up with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Sam felt restricted by the labels other people put on to her. After a spinal fusion operation, which almost left her paralysed in her early twenties, she decided to quit her job and move from Lancashire where she'd grown up, to London to start the life she'd always envisioned for herself. In Be Your Own Muse Sam shares how she went from a young girl who was constantly underestimated to succeeding in becoming a strong independent woman who followed her dreams and stopped letting other people hold her back. Frank, heartfelt, inspirational and funny, Sam shares the lessons she has learned, which we can all use in our own lives to have confidence in ourselves, dare to dream and go after what we want in life.
