Audience: The book is written for all those who participate in the care of a person afflicted with dementia including neurologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, physical therapists, and nurses. This is also worthwhile for students in these various fields. The authors are credible authorities.
Features: The book covers the causes, assessment, and therapies for a variety of dementias. The dementias are presented in an anatomical organization. What is best about this book is the easy to understand yet comprehensive descriptions of the various dementias. This book presents a thorough overview of the subject in a very easy to understand manner. The only shortcoming is the lack of quality illustrations. The few illustrations are not particularly visually appealing.
Assessment: This is a high quality book. There are few books that can take a complex subject as dementia and provide a concrete and thorough review aimed at clinicians at all levels.
