About the Author

For anyone who is interested in knowing more about me, the author, here is a brief description: I am a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota, and a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering. For more than forty years I have been employed in the realms of technical sales, working for various industrial corporations in the United States. This has been a career rich with learning experiences, during which I have met a multitude of different people from many walks of life.

Upon entry into the world of technical sales at the age of 25, the development of additional people skills became paramount. I wanted to understand people as well as I understood engineering. I thus developed an all-consuming fascination with psychology. This has become and remains a life-long interest. Over the years, I have studied many books on the subject. The library that I have accumulated now numbers in the hundreds. Along with this interest in psychology is a curiosity about the reasons for our human existence, and why we are as we are. That, of course, is the trait of a philosopher.

The preparation of this book has been a retirement activity. My desire has been to share a unique perspective of human understanding and a unique philosophy of life, both of which have been formed over a lifetime of independent research and experience.
