The priest is literally "another Christ" to the prsons he is called to serve unreservedly. Still much is not known about him or his life from one Sunday to the next. This work describes in some detail the large number of things he does on a day-to-day basis, along with celebrating Mass and administering the sacraments: counseling, consoling, preaching, visiting the sick, caring for the poor, challenging the youth of the parish, preparing liturgies, etc.

About the Author

Born in New York City in 1930, Msgr. Dermot Brennan attended Corpus Christi Parochial School, Cathedral College and St. Joseph's Seminary, Dunwoodie and was ordained in 1956. His ministry included teaching for 12 years in Archdiocesan high schools, 12 as an assitant pastor, 25 as pastor (5 at Our Lady of Victory in Mt. Vernon, NY and 20 at St. Patrick's in Yorktown Heights). He holds a Master's Degree in Music Education and conducted the music for the papal Mass at Yankee Stadium in 1979.
