Explore 25th Century California with Zook and Artemus as they save their civilization from people like us. Our technological civilization died in The Fall and a new and wonderful culture replaced it. The Amazonian warrior/priestess, Artemus, guides Zook on a grand adventure from old LA to San Francisco and through fabled magical realms. Zook, the inventor of fishing and the teller of wonderful tales, quests away from his home and discovers that the outside world is very different from his clan’s. The Califians cast spells to rule their territory and allow no men on their land. Zook escapes and finds himself among other very strange humans. The tribes he discovers are as delightfully different as humans can be, but they all face extinction as City-Ilanders begin to monopolize the food and goods necessary for survival. Finally, it is up to Zook to save the tribes using Artemus’s training, but he goes through strange adventures along the way. You travel with Zook with every turn of the page.
