Amanda Gorman

Amanda Gorman is the inaugural Youth Poet Laureate of the United States who came to prominence following her recitation of "The Hill We Climb" at the inauguration of President Joe Biden. She is a committed activist who works on the local, national, and international levels to support girls' education and empowerment. She is the author of The Hill We Climb, Call Us What We Carry, and the picture book Change Sings illustrated by Loren Long. A graduate of Harvard University, she lives in Los Angeles.
