Katherine Rundell

Katherine Rundell is an English author of popular children's books like Impossible Creatures, Rooftoppers, The Wolf Wilder, The Good Thieves, Cartwheeling in Thunderstorms and The Explorer. Rundell's books known for their imaginative storytelling have won numerous awards including the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and the Boston Globe–Horn Book Award. She grew up in Zimbabwe, Brussels and London and is currently a Fellow at St. Catherine's College, Oxford. Rundell's books for adults include Super–Infinite: The Transformations of John Donne and Why You Should Read Children's Books, Even Though You Are So Old and Wise. Much like some of her book characters, she enjoys tightrope walking, spending time on rooftops and likes to start each day with a cartwheel.
