The thin, magical membrane that separated the human plane from the demonic one has been destroyed. Nightrender, the immortal warrior of the gods, must find a way to rebuild it, but Hanne has become a great queen and only focuses on her own ambition. Meanwhile Rune, who is married to Hanne but in love with Nightrender, is trapped in the demonic plane after a disastrous battle.
