Crossings

Crossings is a collection of short stories which, collectively trace the arc of a childhood and adulthood shaped by constant relocation as part of a mid-twentieth-century American military family, and later by decades spent abroad in Asia. Themes of displacement, belonging, memory, and identity run throughout the collection, as characters confront the boundaries—geographic, cultural, and personal—that define their lives.
