Human Work

In this classic treatise, originally published in 1904, American writer, lecturer, and editor Gilman (1860-1935) combined her various interests in economics, women's rights, and politics in what she called a piece of social philosophy pivoting on work. She broke from Marxist ideas and yet saw humans as victims of an evil economic structure, and called for everyone to work together for change. Michael S.
