Lallah Rookh: An Eastern Romance is one of the most famous love poems of the Irish poet, Thomas Moore. The poem is about Lallah Rookh who, though engaged to the King of Bukhara, falls in love with Feramorz, a mere poet from the king's entourage. As the poet sings Lallah Rookh songs of old Oriental stories, she listens closely and engages in a love affair with the poet. The poem is styled like a frame narrative in the manner of The Arabian Nights.
