The Grass

The Grass tells the story of Tom Kelly a young man from Fargo who protests the University of Minnesota's firing of a radical professor, its only Black faculty member, in the socially and racially repressive Fifties. Tom is expelled, dumped by his boyhood girlfriend Moira and enters the army during the Korean War.
