When Emcie finds herself on a mysterious island, she has one desire: to get back to her older brother Benoit, who's just been diagnosed with cancer. But the island is a more magical place than it first seemed. Populated entirely by teenagers, everyone, it seems, is hoping for something. People disappear at random—and, as Emcie soon learns, they then appear in other worlds, where they complete different challenges.
