About the Author

Mike Harrity earned a Master of Science in Education/Sport Management degree and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism/News Editorial from The University of Kansas (KU). He is currently an Associate Athletics Director at his alma mater. His career has helped him become well-connected with some of the top athletes, coaches and administrators in the world of sports. While a journalism major at KU, Harrity wrote national award-winning articles on college and professional athletics and was a recipient of the prestigious NCAA Foundation Sports Journalism Scholarship. His many stories have been published in The Kansas City Star and the San Jose Mercury News and carried by the Associated Press.Harrity lives in Lawrence, Kansas with his wife, Dr. Megan Brent Harrity, who serves as the KU athletic department's Counseling and Sport Psychologist, and their daughter, Grace Estelle.
