The crowd-pleasing 1971 musical about a group of rebellious teens in the 1950s is brought to life in this ambitious live production, with sets and locations spanning 20 acres of the 20th Century Fox backlot. Girl-next-door Sandy (Julianne Hough) has a summer romance with tough-but-tender greaser Danny Zuko (Aaron Tveit), but when she transfers to Rydell High she doesn't anticipate how Danny won't acknowledge her in front of his gearhead buddies Kenickie (Carlos PenaVega) and Doody ($Jordan Fisher), or how the sophisticated Pink Ladies clique of Rizzo (Vanessa Hudgens), Frenchy (Carly Rae Jepsen) and Marty (Keke Palmer) will mock her good-girl ways. Includes songs from the Broadway play not included in the 1978 movie starring Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta, as well as new numbers written just for this production.
