About the Author

Marilyn Luber, PhD, is a licensed, clinical psychologist in private practice in Philadelphia. She was on the Founding Board of Directors of EMDRIA and an EMDR Task Force for Dissociative Disorders member. She has conducted training both nationally and internationally. She is a co-facilitator for the EMDR Global Alliance. She is on the Steering Committee for the Future of EMDR Therapy Project, on the Council of Scholars, and chair of the "What is EMDR" working group. She received HAP's Humanitarian Services Award (1997), Outstanding Contribution to EMDRIA award (2003) and EMDRIA's Francine Shapiro Award (2005).

Dr. Luber is a clinical psychologist in private practice who has been involved with EMDR since 1992 and was on the founding board of the international association, EMDRIA. The contributors represent an international authorship from the United States, the Netherlands, Israel, Germany, Argentina, and Mexico.
Features: The book provides scripted protocols for children, adolescents, and couples, in addition to diagnostic categories such as PTSD, addictive behaviors, pain, and fears. It ends with helping clinicians take care of themselves, especially when the session has been particularly difficult. The scripts are extremely detailed and organized in a step-by-step manner. They cover the various phases of the EMDR process, detailing exactly what the therapist should say and providing homework assignments. They also include intake and individual sessions. This book is very practical, providing clinical ideas for specific populations and instructive clinical examples. Three helpful appendixes provide additional information. Appendix A contains various script worksheets covering topics such as past memory, present trigger, and the future. Appendix B discusses the 11-step procedure of unconsolidated sensory triggers and desensitization. Appendix C is a list of worldwide associations and resources.
