Museums, book sellers and art supply stores in the Twin Cities were like a magnet to illustrator David Geister, who left his cherished hometown of Prescott, Wisconsin more than 20 years ago and moved to St. Paul, Minnesota. Since 2000 he has lived in south Minneapolis, and every one of his Sleeping Bear Press titles has been painted upstairs in the home he shares with his wife, teacher and author Patricia Bauer.
