Picture Book Perfect

nbsp;This is a sweet story of queer love and the constant presence of pumpkins adds some silliness to the text. I’ve read this with my Kindergartner and we both enjoy it a lot.

The artwork is so mesmerising: the colours are bold and bright, and very entertaining for a young child to pay attention to. There is little text in the book, which would be easy enough for a young child just learning to read to follow along if read aloud. There’s also a gentle rhyme to the text that adds an extra dimension to the book, paired with a few humorous scenes.
