Author's note: "I wrote this book immediately after coming out of treatment in a psychiatric facility. I spent a week there and of course, things didn't just go back to normal when I got home. The only thing that was the same were my thoughts. They didn't just go away. So I wrote them down in hopes of helping someone else out there that might be going through or has gone through the same thing. It's been a year and I feel much much better. This will always be a part of my journey. And it brings tears to my eyes to remember what I went through but to also realize how far I've come since then."

About the Author

Destinee Grantham is a full-time student, creative, and most-of-all, teenager. Born in New Jersey and raised on military bases for most of her life, Grantham now resides in Texas. Her writing became a life-saving tool after she was diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression, and Adjustment Disorder in 2019 and then again after her stay in a Psychiatric hospital encouraged her use of healthy coping skills. After discovering the immense power of poetry throughout her journey, Grantham began publishing her works in hopes to help others feel understood. Meanwhile, she is also trying to understand herself and how to live the way she desires.
